    This is book 4 of 5 in the sequence of Susan Cooper's pitting the Light against the Dark and vice versa. This 4th book was missing from the box set I purchased on eBay, so I got it to round out the set and so I could keep reading. Winner of the Newberry writing award and aimed at younger readers, this book as with the entire series, holds the adult reader's interest as the neatly crafted characters of Jane, Simon, and Barney and Will Stanton and Merriman Lyon roll in and out of each volume. One can see where a writer like J.K. Rowling gathered ideas for her stories. Any fan of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter will find great enjoyment here. Well worth reading and bargained priced. The movie was a stinker, but the books are wonderful. Start at "Over Sea, Under Stone" and I'll bet ...
