I got these, on the (generic) recommendation of a friend, because one of my legs is swollen following a minor injury. (It's been checked out; it will be OK.) As a dozen pairs of cotton socks go, they are fairly ideal - and even better after an initial wash to get the manufacturing stiffness out. I particularly like that they are styled after the grooves on the ventral pouches of baleen whales. I may yet order more of these (the socks, not the whales) to wear just normally, once my leg is better.
