    Behmor 2000 AB Plus

    The Behmor 2000 AB Plus seems to be very well made and well worth its cost. It is a little difficult to clean up. The great thing is that it can roast a pound of coffee at one time. The metal drum does have some sharp wire where it is easy to get cut. The company needs to do something about that. The chaff collector could be designed a little better. About 20% of the chaff ends up in the roasting area. I use a small Dyson vacuum to clean up which works fine in my garage, but it would be really messy in a kitchen area. I’m sure there are better roasting instructions somewhere, but I’m not entirely clear what I’m doing. I basically listen for first crack and once things start popping like crazy, I then hit the C button, add time, reduce the temp, and increase the drum speed. I avoid ...

    Behmor Coffee Roaster

    This is the second Behmor I've owned.This first lasted fourteen years without any problems.I changed out the panel,( it was the first generation without manual roast capability)so it functioned just like this one does. I get the best roast results with half pound batches.It will roast a pound but after that much time the beans are getting baked,not roasted. There is nothing better in this price range.Keep up the cleaning maintenance and it will go the distance.
