Nice fresh and active Kefir. For users who are into Kefir. I would recommend making small batches (500ml - 1Ltr) daily. This helps the Kefir to stay active and keeps it performing at its peak. If you need to take a break from Kefir, simply put your grains into a glass lidded container cover with milk and refrigerate. They will snooze away for months, until you are ready to get going again. But remember. When you reactivate your kefir, it may take a few cycles to get back to a nice brew. Cheers

Excellent probiotic. Within 3 days the teaspoon of grains were producing 400 ml Kifer every 24 hours. Temperature control is very important. Below 12 deg C the grains are inactive. Between 12 and 15 deg C activity starts. 15 to 18 deg C activity increases, 6 to 10 hours at this temperature produces Kifer with a good flavour. Over 18 deg C activity is very fast and needs too much attention. I now make up a fresh batch and put this in the fridge until I want fermentation to commence.
