      Excellent tools

      Kedee #246 2-56 Taps and drills. They are a quality tap and drill set that come packaged just for the modeler. Having the required drill for the tap and also a clearance drill makes it easy to get the job done. You don't have to get separate drill bits as they all are in the one package. The price for all three included items is a good value. If buying them as separate items, it would cost much more. The tap is self clearing so it doesn't get clogged up like a bottom tap would.

      Kadee 266 tap and drill set

      I really like Kadee stuff, however the tap is kinda a joke as it is round and must be used in a pin vise, I have 3 different pin vises and could not get it tight enough to tap the metal weight in a flat car, had to use my 30 odd year old Bay State tap and a GT&E tap handle. If you only tap plastic it works. Just saying

      Drill and tap combo

      If you use Kadee knuckle Couplers on your HO layout you will eventually find a need for these two drill and this tap. You might find that a good quality pin vise is another necessity. These are procedures competitively and an easy to justify purchase.

      It does the work as advertised

      As long as you have a small enough collet for your rotary tool, it seems to work just fine. It would be nicer if rotary tool ran in reverse to make it easier to get the screw thread bit out.
