Great bargain, great price.
This device is a great value, and works perfectly fine for what it is. I’ve always had a thing for the 5s/SE design, so call me biased but it never fails to impress. Battery life is a lot better than expected, especially if you get your battery replaced. Screen is still easy to read and just as clear as modern Retina displays. Sound output is loud, clear, and distinguishable; though sometimes gets too loud in confined areas. The A7 chip and it’s 1GB RAM is enough to game, stream, watch, or FaceTime on without problem. The lag comes when multitasking, which it can do, *just not well*. This device will show its age under heavy load demands, and will stutter or just outright close the task to save memory. This means when you’re watching something, and you switch tabs, your place won’t be ... This device is a great value, and works perfectly fine for what it is. The camera still holds up today, even at 8MP. It shoots clear, and smooth images without much noise. The front camera is garbage at best. Forget about low light selfies or nighttime socializing. Other than the minor gripes I have for being cheap, it’s a pretty solid daily driver. I like the idea of being green, and also a good bargain. 4/5 would recommend to anyone on a budget or simply doesn’t need a $1k phone.

Digitizer died after ~40 days
Bought this on May 24th as a gift for our daughter. Gave it to her on 6/15/2016. Worked perfectly until June 30th (a few days after the 30 day warranty/return period ended. At that point the digitizer started having issues not recognizing touch. My daughter would reboot once/twice, then it would work again. Over the past few weeks, the problem began happening more often, and my daughter would have to reboot up to 7-8 times before it would work. As of yesterday, no matter how many reboots performed the digitizer has become completely unresponsive. Just had to order a new lcd/digitizer to get this functioning once again. Apple Sucks!
My DD begged and pleaded for this thing. Upon arrival, I discovered there was no opening key included and promptly bent the little piece of metal on the SIM card slot while trying to open it with a paperclip. I had to immediately take it to the repair guy....where I discovered this is a common problem that he whacks with a jeweler's hammer for free (Thanks SmartFix!). After one week, my DD's phone had numerous chips and scratches. My 3yr old Samsung doesn't have any. I cannot stand Apple products. I know everyone seems to love them but I think they need to manufacture them to higher standards so that you actually get a good product that lasts long enough to be worth the cost. Personally, I'll never buy another iPhone and if DD wants to upgrade, she's going to have to earn the $ herself!My DD begged and pleaded for this thing. Great Phone Apple Quality and Operating System
Don't need a honking big phone that will not fit in any pocket except maybe your rain slicker? Or winter parka? Or needs a giant rubber bumper wrapped around it since it keeps falling out?? Still want the Apple operating system in spite of the phone's appearance not being as glamorous as the newer SS brands? The IOS is very well reviewed and works very, very smoothly, quickly. Buy a slim protective case from Amazon and the phone is still very easy to carry, especially for those of us who do not have a handbag to tuck away a "Phablet" Nice for a jacket or suit inside pocket.
