The holes are drilled close to the surface and there is no warning anywhere on the package about over tightening. Here is paragraph three. Under - Installing New Emblem – With the new emblem out of the package install the studs provided in the threaded holes on the back of them emblem. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THESE AS YOU CAN PULL THE THREADS FROM THE EMBLEM! or in your case push the stud out the front.... Thank you for the negative feedback!
