This power supply is a perfect replacement for the supply used with Arlec strip lighting.The old power supply went open circuit and I could not buy a replacement here in Australia.I used 3.4metres of lighting which I measures at 0.73 amps at 11.5 volts.This calculates at 8.4 watts (spec is 1 amp or 12 watts max).I would suggest the 2 amp version for the full 5metres of strip lighting.Specialist Technical Officer.
