The Nokia 7230 is an unlocked global GSM phone. It is compatible with a number of carriers and can be used on AT&T’s 3G network, as well as T-Mobile’s 2G network. Designed to take mini SIM cards, this mobile phone from Nokia is capable of switching carriers when necessary, allowing you to choose the service that works best for you instead of being locked in to a specific one. The Nokia 7230 is a slider that’s simple to operate, but it still comes with several features and specifications that bring it a step above other phones. It comes in a fairly small size, measuring 3.86 x 1.89 x 0.58 inches and weighing 3.53 ounces, which makes it easy to keep this Nokia phone with you even when you’re on the go. The Nokia 7230 has a glossy design with a chrome-like finish along the sides and a textured battery cover. The panel around the screen comes in two different colors—graphite or hot pink. The graphite in particular gives this Nokia phone a sleek, modern look, one that fits in well with contemporary styles. With a 2.4-inch display and a 240x320 pixel resolution, the Nokia 7230 is able to display your texts, emails, and even games clearly. It runs the Nokia Series 40 user interface and provides several customization options on the home screen. Options and available apps include basic information such as time, battery, and signal strength, as well as links to the applications that you use most often with your Nokia slider. The Nokia 7230 comes with a browser, a phone book with room for 2,000 contacts, and an organizer with to-do lists and reminders. The Nokia 7230 supports SMS and MMS messaging, email, and instant messaging. It also has Bluetooth capabilities, allowing you to connect to other Bluetooth-enabled devices or accessories, and GPRS Class 32 and EDGE Class 32 for better connection speed. The built-in FM radio gives you plenty of music options, but if you’re looking to customize your playlist for the day, the Nokia 7230 can play back various audio files, including MP3, MP4, and WMA. Plug in a pair of headphones via the 3.5mm headphone jack for a private listening session or simply play your music back through the onboard Nokia speakers. The Nokia 7230 comes with 45MB of internal memory. There is a card slot built in for microSD cards, letting you add up to 16GB of storage capacity as needed. The 3.2MP camera on the back of the Nokia phone lets you take photos and videos, which are downloadable to your computer by connecting with a micro-USB cable. The Nokia 7230 is powered by a removable 860 mAh battery that provides up to five and a half hours of talk time, with up to nearly 400 hours of standby time. In order to charge the battery, simply plug the Nokia 7230 in with a micro-USB cable or with Nokia’s charging socket. Simple and practical
This is my third Nokia 7230. I like its small size and simplicity.
