    • A Good Book To Learn From

Very good read, with a lot of good info. Although most of the info is geared toward analog audio, with some mention of digital as it was in it's early stages when the this book was written. But the principals are the same for digital as analog, and works just as well. There is a lot you can learn from just about how to record, with mic choice, and set up. These engineers and producers are the people who worked in professional studio's when music was actually created by the artist. Unlike today where most of pop music is computer generated music, and the only thing real is the person singing on it. Even then, most vocals are over processed.

They specifically ask questions to these well known engineers about their opinions on specific equipment and affordable options for the average user (not rich!). Of course the high end equipment is mentioned throughout which is helpful for people that are saving up for that 1 peice of equipment they have to have for thier studio. The tricks used to record specific artist are also throughout the book. I highly reccomend this book. Im actually going to give my old ...
