Good value for older users
An older model iPhone in very good cosmetic condition. Good value for an older not so technically competent user to have basic phone and text function and a simple app for weather, without confusion arising from constant operating system and App updates. Battery life is reasonable for a model of this age, but needs daily recharging.

iPhone Reality
I purchased the iPhone mainly because everyone seems to have one. It must be good right? Very one raves about them, they are everywhere. Its only when you start to use one in earnest, as a communication device, that the floors become apparent. For those who don’t actually want to communicate with others then it’s a great set of apps and a great iPod etc, its the actual communication that lets me down. Examples are that there is no visual indication that you have received a message (email, SMS, MMS etc). You need to 'touch' the phone. There is no visual indication that you are even connected to the network. Phone or otherwise. Yes I realise that when you turn it on you get to 'see' the status but what I am talking about is that if it is on the desk you don’t know if you 'missed' a ... You know that someone communicated with you and it wasn’t by your side 24x7 so you can deal with the communication in real time. It gets better. There are applications available that will continue to remind you that you have unread messages (email, SMS, MMS etc) but Apple wont endorse them as the iPhone is a 'single threaded' operating system. That means it can only do one thing at a time. So if you want the phone to wake up and check ever few minutes if you have any unread messages then you can’t. It’s all too hard and won’t be supported by Apple. My god! The old (and I mean old!) Motorola Razor had that ability and even the Blackberry series have a little flashing LED that will indicate your networks and message status by flashing different colours etc. IN this way, at least, you are reminded that someone has reached out to you. So if you like constantly checking for new messages etc, then the iPhone is for you. If not then look elsewhere, sorry the i{hone still has a way to go to be a communication device, despite the iStore promises, its just not there yet. I wont be buying another one any time soon unless these shortcomings are resolved.

Excellent phone, as an iphone virgin I find it to be practical, easy to use and very well made. I use it mostly for phone calls, sms, internet (checking emails, facebook, bank etc.) playing games and listening to music; so far it has exceeded my expectations in its speed, quality and pure enjoyment of use. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good iphone without necessarily wanting to pay for a the top of the range lastest model.Excellent phone, as an iphone virgin I find it to be practical, easy to use and very well made. I use it mostly for phone calls, sms, internet (checking emails, facebook, bank etc.) playing games and listening to music; so far it has exceeded my expectations in its speed, quality and pure enjoyment of use. Great product, great price. Would highly recommend
It certainly takes a while to get used to especially after the phone I was used to. I had a few hiccups at first as I bought from Hong Kong and Itunes etc were in chinese. I contacted the seller and they were very helpful and guided me through the changes I had to make. I have learnt that by leaving the cellular feature off unless required saves the battery life. I have problems with the keyboard at times and hit the button next to the one I want but it is a breeze to use compared with the one I had before.It certainly takes a while to get used to especially after the phone I was used to. GREAT INTRODUCTORY PRODUCT IN THE iPhone CATEGORY. I FOUND IT VERY EASY TO USE AND NAVIGATE, HAVING SWAPPED FROM ANOTHER BRAND. I LOVE THE CAMERA,AND BEING ABLE TO SWAP BETWEEN STILL PHOTOS AND VIDEOS REASONABLY QUICKLY.I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A REASONABLY PRICED PRODUCT WITH A LOT OF GREAT FEATURES.
