  • Original, interesting and fun CD that will get plenty of listens

    The debut album, released in 2008 was a blisteringly good first album full of energy and uplifting melodies. If anything its just such a good fun, feel-good album that from the word go is instantly playable and endlessly listenable. What makes Vampire Weekend stand out is their distinctive sound. Yes they are Indie, but with violins, cellos and guitars and pianos fused to create an eargasm for listeners every time. I've owned this CD since its release and it really is one you can put on and play through and each sound is unique and distinctive from the rhythmic sounds of stringed instruments in 'M79' to 'One (Blake's Got a New Face)' which is just good fun. The album has energy and will have you bouncing around and singing along its infectious beats and melodies. 'A-punk' 'Oxford ...
