    Big, solid, quite expensive piece of kit, but worth it.

    Not cheap, and a big piece of glass relative to the size of my DSLR (Nikon D3300), but it is great for interiors of buildings and also nice for landscapes. I can't see any disadvantage relative to a Nikon lens, while the big widest aperture (3.5 through the zoom length) is a great advantage relative to the Nikon version. Haven't been using for long, but seems good.

    super piece of glass

    this is a fantastic wide angle lens. the field of view is amazing especially at 10mm. its silent and not as heavy as would be expected. the auto focus is quick and can be overridden if needed. there is no apparent sign of vignette at 10mm when lens hood is applied and the zoom itself is very smooth. if there was any complaint at all, it would be the filter thread, this is on the large size. All in all, an excellent piece of glass as we come to expect from Sigma.

    Fabulous build quality and performance ...

    I've been a professional photographer for 55 years - during this time I've been privileged to use some of the best equipment created. I bought this Sigma 10-20mm lens to give me greater flexibility with landscape photography. The build quality is exceptional. the resolution of the lens is superb - and the results are stunning. I intend using it for astrophotography later this month with my Nikon D300 - and expect good results. A versatile lens that enables you to control distortion when used carefully - I've even used it at the 20mm end for portraits - and it performs perfectly. At this price point, it's a superb deal - and if you're looking for a wide angle lens (works out at 15mm-30mm on my Nikon D300) I can highly recommend this Sigma.

    Awesome lens, good aperture. Extremely useful for in house shootings, as well as, outdoors. People usually shoot with lenses that leave to surround details out. I like this lens a lot.
