NOTES: for best results use high strand count COPPER (NOT Chinesium) wire, without solder and firmly tightened down. Beware: If tightened too much the set screw WILL strip the connector's threads and make a loose connection. For best results- after testing for a great connection put a band of clear 3/8 glued marine grade heat-shrink tubing over the back of the plug. Heating the tubing will lock and seal the screw!

They also work with the flat speaker wire, but you should probably get the larger gauge down the road. You’ll also need a tiny screw driver. The metal that makes the screws in the banana plug strips very easily, so beware. It’s good that I got 40 of them though.
