Good travelling binoculars
A good quality compact. stabilized binocular for a reasonable price and clear vision but has some negatives. The eye lens covers are detached and easily lost. There are no front lens covers. Setting up the eye lenses is quite important so it can be a bit fiddly when you let someone with different eyesight use it. The degree of stabilisation is good but not great. It is ok from a moving car but strangely, it doesn't damp down hand tremor enough so you get some wavering. Also the image tends to blur slightly for a fraction of a second with any small movement before stabilizing again. This is a little disconcerting but you get used to it. The 12 x 28 's are a powerful daytime binocular but their performance drops markedly after dark as can be expected from a 28mm front lens. They are not ...
