    Mel Gibson's first major role.

    If you are a Mel Gibson fan like myself then you will want to own this to add to your collection. You have to understand that this was a very low budget film, plus Mel Gibson's first major role. It is filmed in his home land of B-E-A-UTIFUL Australia. The plot is a few young lads going on a surfing trip. The story kind of drags, because you are thinking the whole time that the group is going surfing, but it takes them forever to finally get to the beach. The group encounters some problems along the way. They get into some fights about girls, and other normal older teenage issues. If you are a collector of Mel Gibson movies, and can get this for a really good price than pick this one up. It is nothing like the Lethal Weapon movies, or any other film Mel has done.     Boring

    I thought, "oh wow a movie with a very young Mel Gibson in it, I'll give it a whirl." I did not expect a block-buster or anything, but this one I could not sit through. It just did not keep my intrest by any stretch of the imagination.
