Works as expected. Kindle 3 keyboard reborn.
This worked as expected. They give you the tools you need to crack open the case, but make sure to go slow and be careful. Don't want to break. Look at a tutorial before you jump in. Once the Kindle case is open, it's very easy to swap the batteries. So far everything is working as it should. Kindles 3s have super long battery life, so I can't tell you whether the battery life on the battery is the same as the OEM one that came with it. But it's definitely way better than a device that won't power up at all. This worked as expected. They give you the tools you need to crack open the case, but make sure to go slow and be careful. Good price for a replacement.
It worked ok, but seemed not as good as the original Kindle battery as I recall for its initial usage years ago (~2011), lasting more than a month in my usage. This one needs recharge after about a week but is good enough for me. May be my habit changed since then, listening to more text to voice in my car than just reading. However, before I use this replacement, my old battery at the end of its life cannot support the device well due to insufficient power or voltage, e.g., hanged sometimes and difficult to restart after recharge. Now it works fine and thanks to the new battery. One thing to complain is that the plastic tool is not strong enough to open the case in battery replacement so that both the two available plastic tools were broken in the process causing a little trouble. ... Quick and Easy; Made my old Kindle 3 "Good as New"
With the included tool kit, it took less than 15 minutes to open the Kindle 3, remove the old battery, insert the new battery, and snap the case back together. The screen display is now brighter and with sharper contrast, and it seems to go forever before needing to be recharged. View You Tube "how to" videos posted by others to see how easy it is.

Perfect solution, easy for anyone to do
It was very easy to install and it was comforting to have a video demonstrating the entire process. The fact that they included all the tools required to remove and replace the battery is just wonderful. It took only a few minutes and our Kindle was back up and running perfectly.

Killed Kindle
I am giving this 3 stars because I cannot confirm for certain if this battery killed my kindle. But prior to installation my only issue was a faulty battery. Upon installing it, the Kindle worked like normal for a few minutes and then it wouldn't turn off. No matter what I tried withtl the power switch. So I went to settings and selected restart, that is when the whole Kindle crashed and now the screen is unreadable and device unresponsive. Prior I never had screen issues... So I cannot say for certain it was the battery that caused the system failure... but I cannot rule it out either.
