Did not require much to hand sharpen using my Made in Japan sharpening stone. Used the particles from the sharpening stone on my fingers to rub out the tarnish from the blade. Various shaped metal files to work the blade guard, handle, sand paper various grits to make everything perfect. Design of blade, handle the best, even as a Combat Knife as balance and weight, compared to other name brands. Easily turned from rough to a Masterpiece. Definitely worth every $. Seller sent immediately.

Thanks overall. I wish the "Grind radius" were smaller. Too much material was removed from the cutting edge at the point of "pre"-manufacturing.

I like this knife. A little bit of work to finish but well worth it. Thanks. A+++++++++++++
