    Stories of familiar Mitford characters and their recipes

    Author Jan Karon has written a series of books about Mitford, a fictional town in North Carolina. It is a typical small town with many characters, and many recipes are mentioned in the books. This is a compilation of them, along with short stories about the people who have prepared them. I love the series and this book is excellent.

    For Love of The Mirford Series books

    For those of you who are reading or have read the Mitford series books by Jan Karon I highly recommend the cook book. It's a beautiful book full of all the recipes from the stories with readings and beautiful pictures. I bought this for a friend and she was thrilled and I know she'll be doing lot's of cooking and baking during these next months of cool weather.

    I love Jan Karon's Mitford Cookbook and Kitchen Reader! It has such good recipes, along with great information, like pictures and interesting stories (excerpts from chapters in her books). I really enjoyed reading this book and have tried out some of the recipes. Very good! Happy to have this in my Jan Karon collection and glad I bought it!
