This Pu'er came with its original bamboo shell & wire in a sealed zip lock bag. The tea itself was very good. It required just a single rinse before the drinking session. Beautiful deep amber liquor with a rich, soothing easy quality that even the kids liked.

It is tea, it is Pu Er. That's it.
Good words first: the tea arrived very quickly, and it's expertly packaged. Thanks much! No not so good words. It is tea, it is Pu Er, and that's about it. Most likely after reading the reviews my expectations were a bit higher, but it's easily the worst Pu Er I've tried in more than a decade (and I drink almost exclusively Pu Er). The first suspicions appeared when the parcel arrived - there was almost no smell of tea. The brick itself consists of a hard pressed ~7-8mm core, and long loosely pressed leaves (and wooden branches) on both sides. I was pretty excited at how easily the outer whole (!) leaves could be peeled off and put a bit too much in the pot (I use a 200ml ceramic Chinese pot). But to my surprise the taste was very soft and very subtle. The tea survived no more, than ... Good words first: the tea arrived very quickly, and it's expertly packaged. Thanks much! No not so good words. It is tea, it is Pu Er, and that's about it.
