I know this review is in the minority, but personally I totally avoid Veggie Tales for my kids. I don't mind a bunch of nonsense so much with non-biblical topics, but I find it hard to believe that Jesus would sanction this foolishness. I tend to think that right after he drove the moneychangers out of the temple, he would have turned on Veggie Tales. The product of a big company's hype and media blitz, the whole thing makes God's Words into a big joke. Silly vegetables act like fools - is this really the impression we want to give children? Veggie Tales is irreverent, even blasphemous, foolishness. Christians are instructed to raise wise, sober children with a deep fear, awe, and respect for God. Parents, do you really think more pandering to childish sillyness will produce this? Let the kids watch Bugs Bunny for a good laugh - Veggie Tales belongs in the trash.Read full review
I raised my grandson on Veggie Tales and today he's married with a little one of his own. We have moved from VHS to DVD and the tradition continues. You can't beat Veggie Tales!

My 6 yr old was begging for this movie. She loves all the movies. This is very accurate regading Haman and Mordecai and following the biblical story. I am so glad to have these to entertain and teach my kids about God! We love reading the actual books from my bible as well as from her childrens bible. These won't mean a thing to you if you are not saved and into the new age movement as I was. I had the videos before and actually never watched them. The enemy was preventing me from watching them as I was definately not saved then. Funny how that works. I am so glad to be delivered and hope you all find yourself as children of the one true God. Enjoy! ~Rene' readpsalms50@aol.com
Sweet story, dumb songs, never mentions Esther is Jewish-only that Hamen hates her family. No one dies-they are banished to the island where they are tickled for ever. Vashti refuses to make the King a sandwich in the middle of the night rather than refusing to dance (naked) for his guests. But it is really cute -little kids will like it.
As with most Veggie Tales, this is a humorous way to expose our kids to the old testament stories and values. My daughter loves the fact these stories are great for her Jewish and Christian friends. The story is easy to follow. Both my 2 1/2 year old and 6 year old will sit and watch it together.
