    Classic film, humorous and spiritual at the same time.

    This is a classic film based around the Jewish festival of Sukkot. The plot includes a poor born again religious couple in Jerusalem and old friends who are criminals on the run. It is cute, funny and touching, told from a sympathetic viewpoint. Spirituality is respected, and the plot is rooted in Jewish folklore, featuring subtle references to Elijah the prophet. A great film to teach in a class.

    Fun & uplifiting, trip to Israel

    Occasionally I add a film to my personal collection. This one is quirky, fun and very positive. Gods blessings to a believing orthodox Jew (Moshe) and his wife provide life and learning beyond their expectations when it spills beyond their hopes & into the situation of a pair of unexpected visitors from Moshe's past. This movie provides a positive tingle. "Ushpizin" is definately not for those who don't expect to enJOY a good film! (Winner of two Israeli film awards.)

    When you need a miracle

    This movie very engagingly depicts the loving life of a poor Orthodox Jewish man and his dear wife who prepare for the coming Feast of Booths ... needing a few miracles and finding some potholes from their past along the way. Very good movie ...
