Applications include compilers (for code improvement), software validation (for detecting errors in algorithms or breaches of security) and transformations between data representation (for solving problems such as the Y2K problem). This book is unique in giving an overview of the four major approaches to program analysis: data flow analysis, constraint based analysis, abstract interpretation, and type and effect systems. Waited 17 days for item to be shipped and still hadn't been shipped. Contacted seller who generated a tracking ID but still did not ship item. 4 days after contacted the seller again and received a response that item was damaged in transit and they asked the carrier to dispose of the item. Complete rubbish, tracking never indicated that the item was shipped in the first place. Seller seems to be selling items they did not have.
