  • Beautifully Done, Easy to Use, Full of Fun & Ideas. Awesome!

Have you ever wondered if you could make fabulous drapery and nice furniture for your dollhouse projects? Have you been disappointed by the complexity of other books? Then this book is the answer to a prayer. It is a wonderful book for the dollhouse enthusiast who enjoys being able to create custom decor, not simply buying it. The book is beautifully done, with a nice selection of rooms. However, the best thing is how user friendly it is. The abundant diagrams are clearly drawn, with easy to follow tips and instructions, and are already at 1:12 scale. Most items can be assembled with no more than a razor saw, miter box, hand held mini drill, box cutter and sandpaper. Although, I have other "How-To" books, most assume a skill level; extensive, specialized equipment; and time investment ...

  • Making Dolls' House Interiors

This is a fantastic book for the doll house builder, miniature collector and those who just love to read about the subject. It would make a great gift for any builder or collector. The book itself is beautiful with good quality paper, ink, type size and style. Illustrations, pictures and photographs are clear and beautifully executed. I have been "doing" miniatures/dollhouses for over 50 years and have never seen a book that could measure up to this one. The price was very reasonable. Imagine a room with a lady in her sick bed. A man polishing his shoes. A woman making bread in an old-fashioned wooden dough trough. A Georgian Drawing Room with Chippendale furniture! Did I say that this book is fantastic? The Tudor Kitchen is beyond description - complete with pheasants ready to be cleaned ...

  • Beginning or Intermediate Doll House Room Boxes.

Since I was thinking of doing a dollhouse room box, the title of this book caught my eye, and I thought it might be useful. This book literally walks you through choosing a ready-made doll house or kit, building a simple doll house of your own design using stock components, or building and furnishing elegant room boxes. It gives complete instructions covering what tools you will need, to patterns for making wood furniture and upholstering sofas and chairs along with window treatments and bed linens. There are patterns you can trace for various styles and pieces of furniture from all different time periods. I certainly don't regret buying it at all.
