About this product

Product Information

The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine! In Knife of Dreams , the eleventh novel in Robert Jordan's #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Tarmon Gai'don, the Last Battle, is upon Rand al'Thor--and now the Dragon Reborn must confront the Dark One as humanity's only hope. The dead are walking, men die impossible deaths, and it seems as though reality itself has become unstable... Abandoning Rand's war against the Dark One, Perrin Aybara has made his own truce with the Seanchan in his obsessive quest to save his wife Faile from the Shaido and destroy their mutual enemies. To achieve victory, Perrin must render the Shaido Wise One channelers in Malden powerless. But even as he puts his desperate plan into action, Masema Dagar, the Prophet of the Dragon, moves against him. Traveling with circus performers through Seanchan-controlled Altara, Mat Cauthon attempts to court Tuon, the Daughter of the Nine Moons, to complete their fateful prophesized marriage. Despite being surrounded by Seanchan seeking to kill her, Mat's intended leads him on a merry chase while he wages guerrilla warfare to protect her. Knowing he cannot defeat the Dark One while at war with the Seanchan, Rand brokers for a truce with the Daughter of the Nine Moons. Unaware of Tuon's actual location, the Dragon Reborn walks into a trap set by the Forsaken Semirhage, who possesses knowledge about his powers that will either shatter or steel his resolve in the forthcoming conflict. Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. Michael Kramer [narrates] all the segments of the book told from the perspective of male characters, at times with regal elegance, at others with bitterness, anger, or passion, as the situation demands. Kate Reading is equally adept narrating the parts involving the feminine characters and elements., It pairs a gripping dual narration by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer with the equally complex, involving story of walking dead, impossible deaths, and fractured reality. Knife of Dreams comes alive in audio and softens the complexity of the story line with high drama only audio can bring to life., "The eleventh installment in Robert Jordan'sWheel of Timeseries,Knife of Dreams, proves to be a fast-paced and entertaining listen...Kate Reading and Michael Kramer once again deliver fine performances." -- SFFaudio "It pairs a gripping dual narration by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer with the equally complex, involving story of walking dead, impossible deaths, and fractured reality.Knife of Dreamscomes alive in audio and softens the complexity of the story line with high drama only audio can bring to life." --Library Bookwatch "Michael Kramer [narrates] all the segments of the book told from the perspective of male characters, at times with regal elegance, at others with bitterness, anger, or passion, as the situation demands. • Knife of Dreams

In KNIFE OF DREAMS, the dead are walking, men are dying impossible deaths, and it seems as though reality itself has become unstable: all are signs of the imminence of the Last Battle, when Rand al’Thor, the Dragon Reborn, must confront the Dark One as humanity’s only hope. But Rand dares not fight until he possesses all the surviving seals on the Dark One’s prison. And he faces other dangers—there are those among the Forsaken who will go to any length to see him dead . . . The winds of time have become a storm, and things that everyone believed were fixed in place forever are changing before their eyes. Now Rand must ride those storm winds, or the Dark One will triumph.

  • Robert Jordan Back in Action

I am a huge fan of Robert Jordan and the Wheel of Time series. The last book Crossroads of Twighlight however did not really advance the plot much. Knife of Dreams is back in the form of the previous top knotch story telling earlier in the series. This book focuses largely on Perrin, Matt, and Elayne with some exciting sections about Rand. In this story one can finally begin to see the end of the series which we can only hope Jordan is well enough to complete. The book also contains an interesting twist regarding a character which was thought to have died earlier in the series. All in all a very enjoyable installment of a great series.

  • Dreams of our own.

I bought this latest installment of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time legacy in order to listen to it in addition to having read the book. There are many things one can pick up on hearing it read to them, or actually having the story told to them much in the way a Gleeman delivers his tales. All the books are good, and like our independent natures, we each like one or two more than the others, ones we like less others like the best for their own reasons. This is one of mine.

  • Continuation of excellence

Knife of Dreams is another wonderful book by Robert Jordan. More interesting things happen with all the characters. The way of RJ's writings always keep me hooked, waiting to see what comes next.

  • audio book
