Telling Stories is the fifth album by American singer/songwriter Tracy Chapman, released in 2000 (see 2000 in music). It was her first album in over four years, and her first since Crossroads to be produced or co-produced by David Kershenbaum. A special 2CD tour edition of this album was also released in May 2000, supporting the tour going on at the time. The album is composed of contemporary rock songs in the first half, and folk songs in the second half. Tracy Chapman- Telling Stories
I thoroughly enjoyed her self-titled album "Tracy Chapman" and "Crossroads" because each album was full of songs I liked. "Telling Stories" may grow on me in time, but I only really liked the songs Telling Stories and Wedding Song. The disc itself is an HDCD but it doesn't sound so great to me.

I had never heard of her till a few months ago when I happened across it on youtube. I think she is an excellent singer artist. I now have several of her cds. What a joy to listen to them.
