Read the Manual and reviews before buying
Plenty flexible, it does have glitches. Very cumbersome setting up Audio & Video assignments. Audio is prone to drop to dead air. HDMI Switching / Audio Passthrough system implimentation leaves much to be desired. Initial Setup cannot even attempted without the Remote-Control, and definitely can't complete any modifications without connecting a Monitor. "You have been warned"!

I have been looking for a high-end 7 Channel receiver with 4K switching and this Marantz was a killer deal. It looks beautiful, has a ton of usable power, immersive surround modes and is very easy to use. The audio calibration set-up is a breeze and the on-screen menus are crisp, attractive and a no-brainer. Great feature: It has 2 HDMI outs so you can connect a second TV/Monitor to it. Great for my man-cave where I have multiple seating/viewing areas. A feature I like that I wasn't sure I would use is the Airplay. I use Apple TVs or Airport Express units for whole-house audio and was worried that the native Airplay in the receiver would be quirky or hard to connect to, but it just shows up in iTunes like any other Apple streaming device.
