I have been purchasing Sansa mini clip for several years now. The best thing about this item is that you can take it anywhere-to the Gym, the store-etc... But it all depends on which type. My best advice- NOT to buy refurbished. I've always had a problem with those. Such as the radio stopped working suddenly or the sanclip stopped charging. The worste thing was that these refurbished items can not be exchanged or returned to the company. There is no warranty on them. Believe me I tried. I love these music players-you can listen to the radio or play your favorite songs. Transferring and downloading is very easy. You can also download files or school work. Be careful though, it is very easy to lose-and any private info-you do not want it on the sandisk.
SanDisk Sansa Clip (http://anythingbutipod.com/2008/12/top-5-mp3-players-of-2008/) Putting together the order of the other top 5 was a bit of a struggle and a debate, but the #1 was a no brainer. The Clip is one of the cheapest MP3 players on the market, in terms of price as well as build materials- though still very rugged and durable. The screen is small and interface is simple and straight forward. It supports OGG and FLAC and sports both MTP and MSC transfer protocol. It is a fairly basic, but thorough player. So what’s the deal? Back when the clip was first released marketing literature touted that the clip was the best sounding mp3 player. I scoffed at these claims and could not wait to get my hands on one to bust this allegedly exaggerated marketing speak. I plugged it into some high end headphones and was instantly impressed; I couldn’t bust these outlandish claims. The Clip is a staple in my gear bag paired with the $500 Shure SE530 headphones. It is still one of the best sounding MP3 players do date and paired with the lowest priced player made for a killer combination. The new 8GB capacity is selling for around $90 but I have seen the 1GB version for under $20. At this price it makes it a great candidate for the gym or other rugged environments you might not want to take your $200-300 main player. The Clip continues to be popular among many of the enthusiasts in our forum as a secondary player pairing them up with headphone amps 10 times the cost of the Clip. The Clip still suffers from an occasional bug but SanDisk continues the work on improving and adding features. You can find the latest info on the Clip in our very busy SanDisk Sansa forums or take a look at the head to head Clip vs Shuffle article. Also have a look at the review if you would like and in-depth look, but at the price and our glowing recommendation- just buy one.Read full review
My only complaint is the size. I have misplaced it several times. Overall, it is probably the best MP3 I have ever bought. I had purchased this to replace a COBY unit...junk....I made a small holder that fits on my motorcycle, and is wired threw an amp. The sound is amazing! Even at highway speeds, and loud mufflers, the sound is clear and impressive! Very easy to program, download songs, etc. I would, and have, recommend this to anyone.
What I needed was an inexpensive but effective mp3 player for working out, working on bikes, etc. I did the research and the Sansa Clip was getting rave reviews. They were right. I have had this about a week now and still haven't had to recharge the battery. Play lists are easy to sort the music for the type of activity I am doing, the menus are intuitive (I still haven't read the instructions), and the custom equalizer is great for balancing different head phones do the music sounds great all the time. I bought the 2 GB version because why spend more when I can slap a MicroSD card in the Clip? Heck, I haven't even filled all of the 2 GB portion up yet (been too busy using it to sort through all my music). No, it won't do your chores for you but it makes them a lot less painful while jamming out to your favorite tunes. And I don't get stuck with proprietary garbage with ridiculous price tags just so I can listen to my music.Read full review
they just don't make them like they used to anymore. Now a days it's hard to find just a simple MP3 player like the ones they had when I was in High School. thank goodness I was able to find one from my older days, AND it just happened to be Factory Refurbished. this MP3 player is simple, small, and easy to use, and the Micro SD slot allows for more music if you have it. This is an excellent and reliable MP3 Player for those that want only Music.
This is my third Sansa Clip, I've bought others as gifts, this one is for me! I can fit about 400 songs on my 2gb. The clip makes this mp3 player easy to jog with. It's tough, having been dropped and stored hap hazardously in my purse a lot. The playlist feature is nice to have. The menu options are easy to navigate. The headphones are a bit big I admit, but easily replaced. The battery life is long, I only need to charge about once a week. I love my Sansa!
The best San Disk Clip+ is the best player for listening to audiobooks. The clip jam, clip sport and others that followed are a pain to use. I wish they would bring back the Clip +.

I am pretty the person that they wrote the "For Dummies" books to target. But this was so easy to set up and use. It practically sets it's self up when you plug it in and put your disk in. Once it is charged up and ready to go the sound is amazing! Such an awesome sound from such a small device! Also, bonus...It allows you to add storage space for audio books, music etc Excellent buy! And did I mention that it also gets radio stations? WOW!
This MP3 player is a true gem; I love it. The compact size is perfect for my morning run. Use the built in clip to attach the player to waist band, shirt sleeve, or collar, and you're ready for days of running on a single charge. I like to download podcasts of various topics, as well as listen to the built-in FM radio. It helps me get to sleep by using one of the ear buds to listen to the player when I have difficulty falling asleep. I purchased a 16GB memory card and I'll never have to worry about storage capacity with a combined 18GB of memory. The device is truly plug-n-play. I will definitely buy another player when this one gets lost (like my previous one did).
I love the size and the fact it can clip on my clothes. The sound is amazing and it is very easy to use and download my favorite tunes and artists. I am a senior citizen and this is perfect for me, as I do not have a phone that holds music. I did not like the ear phones that came with this, but I ordered one with earbuds that stay in my ears better. Now it is perfect!
