Overall I’d say the experience was positive but only because the seller was willing to work with me on the price. When I received the item it was put in a used frozen Nathan’s hotdog box which was too small causing the top of the card to be pretty bent and creased. I notified the seller about the situation stating I was not looking to return the item and they also did not offer any sort of partial refund. I would have rather it taken longer to arrive and be put in the right size box. Thanks.

Good challenge
I like games like this that really test your skill and make good use of a nice arcade joystick. There's not that many games on the NES that fall into that category. For fans of the Silver Surfer or Marvel Comics in general that want a real challenge with a rewarding feeling when completing it, buy this game and give it your best shot.

Not the hardest game ever
I bought this game specifically for its "legendary difficulty". I have seen a few top ten lists of "the hardest nes games of all time" where this game is sitting in the # 1 spot. I strongly disagree with this status as I beat the game within 2 or 3 hours of receiving it in the mail. Aside from that disappointment, I rather enjoyed this game. It's an auto scrolling shooter much like Gradius, R-Type, Darius Twin, or Life Force(one of the hardest games of all time in my opinion.) with fewer weapon upgrades, and in my opinion less difficult to master than Gradius. It has pretty good music although it is the only tune that plays throughout the whole game... so it gets to be a bit redundant. The controls work great. All the movements are nice and fluid for an 8 bit game. Although I don't ... I bought this game specifically for its "legendary difficulty". What a challenging game
The game came complete and in the box. The manual is in great condition, as well as the cartridge and box. The sleeve is awesome, too! The styrofoam sits at the bottom of the box, btw.

I only give this game an average rating because, it truly stands up to its reputation as the hardest game to beat (cheats or not). Actualy the only reason I bought the game is my brother and I went half on it, its cheap, and it is definately worth the challenge. If you are a Nintendo fan and think you are a good gamer, than give it a try. Otherwise, continue playing the games you can beat over and over again and re-evaluate yourself as a novice.
