Sie wird denen ein will- kommener Wegweiser sein, die -' wenn auch vielleicht uber die elementaren Grundlagen des bankgewerblichen Effektengeschafts schon unterrichtet - sich mit der modernen Weiterentwicklung dieser Geschaftssparte vertraut machen wollen. Wir erleben seit einiger Zeit eine sturmische Fortentwicklung aller technischen Hilfsmittel, die in vielen Zweigen des Wirtschaftslebens bereits ein atemberaubendes Tempo angenommen hat. Menschen- dichte und Massen von Gegenstanden verengen den Raum und fuhren zu unliebsamen Reibungen und Stockungen. Der moderne Strassen- verkehr gibt ein anschauliches Beispiel. Man sinnt auf Abhilfe aus der Verkehrsnot und sucht neue Wege. Die Autobahnen im Schnellverkehr der letzten Jahrzehnte haben im wahrsten Sinne bahnbrechend gewirkt. Sie sind gar nicht mehr weg- zudenken; ihr weiterer Ausbau ist vielmehr vordringlich. Im bank- gewerblichen Wertpapierverwahrungs- und Anschaffungsverkehr liegt es nicht anders. Die alten bewahrten Formen von Depot und Lieferung brauchen eine Erganzung, die Material, Arbeitsgange, Muhen und Kosten spart. Die Girosammelverwahrung und der hierauf beruhende stuckelose Effektengiroverkehr sind in die Bresche gesprun- gen und so gewissermassen zu Autobahnen des Massenverkehrs in Wertpapieren geworden. Auch dieser Verkehr mit seinen mehr und mehr astronomisch anmutenden Zahlen wird auf moderne, leistungs- fahigere Bahnen geleitet werden mussen, weil die alten bewahrten Formen allein nicht mehr ausreichen. Altes muss veralten.

Pros - polite communication, low prices, generous discount offered for damaged book.
Cons - very slow communication which tends to be generic and promises much but delivers little, heavy book was sent in a jiffy bag and arrived damaged, had to get Ebay involved to action the promised partial refund.
Summary - 'pile it high and sell it cheap' organisation which is unable to provide efficient customer service and makes the mistake of not packaging books correctly. Will not buy from them again.
