About this product

Product Information

Playing as Jack Mower (with an option to personalize the name), you take control of the adventure as a very unlikely hero. As Nox unfolds around you through exploration and legendary history, you discover a world in desperate need of a savior -- a champion to lead the resistance against the return of the Necromancers of the North. A race of vile and evil opponents with the ability to suck the very dead straight from the ground with the sole purpose of delivering disease, death and destruction to all living beings.<br><br>In Nox, a fantasy role-playing adventure played from third-person perspective, you can choose one of three hero classes: warrior, wizard and conjurer. As a warrior, strength is the dominant attribute, as physical ability to wield weapons and wear armor is tantamount to success. Choose the wizard to explore the art of spell casting as you make your way through the varied environments and locations of Nox, learn to set deadly magical traps and create disconcerting illusions. Or, you can become a conjurer, endowed with the ability to summon and control creatures to do your bidding -- a hero with a mix of both warrior- and wizard-like attributes.<br><br>Both the wizard and conjurer have specific spells (45 and 24 respectively) with which to engage the enemy while the warrior has five skills ranging from a berserker charge to the ability to see invisible items. More than 18 weapons and nearly a dozen types of armor (not all usable by each class) are available and run the gamut from leather to plate mail. These arsenals are used to combat a varied menagerie of Nox beasts including such creatures as bats, spiders, trolls, scorpions, imps and ghosts, to name a few.<br><br>Use the Westwood Studios multi-player facility, Westwood Online, to battle with or against up to 31 Internet foes. Several multi-player options are provided including Arena, Capture the Flag, Elimination, Noxball and King of the Realm. Nox also supports 32 players via a LAN connection.<br><br>Think you've got what it takes to be a hero in a strange land? Find out as you delve deep into the dangerous and deadly world of Nox.

I initially received the wrong game inside the correct box. I notified the seller, and the seller offered me to send the correct item or to return everything back. I wanted the correct item, and the seller promptly sent me the missing game. It took a long time to get to me, but everything was done professionally. I recommend this seller.

  • Nox - Westwood's Shot at the RPG Genre

Westwood Studios, the masterminds who brought you Command & Conquer, gave RPGs a shot and man, did it work. Nox is a great RPG. Not the best I've played, but probably gets into my top 10 RPGs of all time. The story is original and funny. Cheesy, but that's how Westwood works. A lot of their stories are silly, but that's what makes them great. Time travel, getting sucked into televisions, it's all great. The gameplay is great. There's a large variety of weapons and attacks. You work your way through the levels, fighting enemies and dodging obstacles and have several boss fights. It's not the longest RPG, but will keep you entertained for 10 - 20 hours. If you're like me, you'll gladly run through it a second time. One reviewer didn't like it for the graphics and it's true, the graphics ...

  • Nox (PC game)

Many years ago I bought Nox when it was just released. I liked this game even before playing it, because it was made by Westwood. It is Diablo like game but much more better from my point of view. I played this game by all three personalities which were offered. All pleasure was mine. It is an easy and well designed game. It has very interesting walkthrough, completely different for each hero. Much magic plunge you into the amazing world of Nox. I was fond of using various types of magic in Nox, it's really cool. I didn't find any things that I disliked in the game I'm sure there are none of them. After awhile my old playing disk was damaged, I was trying to find it here in Russia but failed, so I bought it again on Ebay. I recommend trying Nox to all people who love playing Diablo like ...

  • my heart cries out

When I was younger, I played games like Armored Core, and GTA, and Metal Gear Solid, but that was all on the PS2. When my family got a computer, a little while later I saw my friend play the demo version of Nox at his house. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I got Nox for christmas that year, and played the next day. It took my a week to beat it as a Conjurer, then my father beat it as the Warrior, then I beat it again as a Wizard. Death to Hecuba!!! Ok, I'm 19 now and I moved from Nox, to the Dark Forces series, then to Valve's killer line of up multiplayer games, then to BF2, and finally to World Of Warcraft. I figure Nox is like a tiny version of that game, except the multiplayer is just simply deathmatch style. No leveling. But that is what made this game amazing is that you had ...

  • One of the best

The is one of the greatest games I have ever played. Diable II is a really good game but Nox tops it. Interesting storying (far more interesting than Diablo). I've played the the solo games on here over and over again and it's still fun. Every once in a while I'll feel the urge to play this game after I've had it about 7 years now.

  • Great Game Ever!

Hi, I first played NOX in 2003. Loving, enjoying, every single scenes, chapters, characters, magical items, everything! I have played other RPG/Action/Strategy games. They are exciting at first but then i get tired & bored to race it till the finish line. Nox is an easy game to play. Fun characters like the cave trolls and urchins. Highly Recommended!
