Not a lightweight lens, but superb quality and fine balance

A very fine EL series lens. It is a push/pull type without the zoom rotor which weakens the main tube and often causes it to bend slightly. It is nicely balanced and is well fitted to all of my Canon Cameras and has no mould or other damage to it's lenses. I am very happy with both the price paid and the quality of the product.

  • Wow!

This lens is pin sharp, and clear as a bell. It has very close focal working distance. Flourite element products from Nikon are over $10,000, not so here! Metal construction. Detachable foot. Quick set Landscape/Portrait or diagonal ring adjustable via thumb nut. IS - image stabilisation 4 stops. 3 Mode selection for IS.

  • Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Telephoto Zoom

This is a tried and tested high quality L series zoom lens. Some people may not like the push pull design but I think its easy to get used to. Second hand these lenses are good value compared to buying the mark ll new version.

  • Awesome lens!

This camera lens is awesome! Great image quality and the image stabiliser does an excellent job working its magic. The lens is quite weighty, so having a built-in stabiliser is definitely required. You really get what you paid for with this lens!

  • Outstanding lens - best built Canon lens - a huge leap from earlier version

It took Canon a long time to come up with a MKII version of this lens, which was well worth the wait. This lens is outstanding value for money and a HUGE improvement on the earlier iteration. I sold my 70-200mmf2.8is and 400mmf5.6 and replaced them with this single lens. The lens can't be faulted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a buyer.
