Fill it and forget it!
Love this feeder! I switched from a 2-day feeder to this one which will feed each cat for several weeks. The hardest part is coordinating all 3 feeders to release the food at approximately the same time. I'm still playing around with the timing mechanisms, but I'll get there. For a single cat or dog, it can't be beat. Just fill it and forget it once you have the timing correct! Has battery backup in case of a power outage. Truly money well spent.Love this feeder! I like this product because it holds about 5 lbs. of dry cat food in its hopper, uses a simple but effective method of dispensing, has just enough electronics to provide sensible programming for optimal and customizable feeding, and is structurally sound and easily cleanable. To date it has proven reliable, but I have only owned it for 2 weeks so I can not verify if it is actually reliable and durable over time. Good Feeder for the Money
So far seems to work well and the timer is accurate within a couple of minutes. Have to play around with number of feeding portions to have it dispense amount desired, which will change with size of food. Voice speaker could be louder and clearer, but the dog tends to listen for the dispensing mechanism to come and eat. Takes two hands to open lid, one to push release button and one to lift lid--good thing because it stays closed if dog knocks it over.
