The "unique" pricey item that I received was in major ways different from the listing and the descriptions both in the listing, as well as those I received in private conversations with the seller prior to the purchase. The seller understood my concerns and graciously issued a full refund. I'm still out ~$150 that I had to shell out for 25% VAT, so it was still an expensive mistake.

This piece was falsely advertised as a Damien Hirst lithograph. The listing gives this piece a title and year. It in fact has nothing to do with Damien Hirst. The item that arrived is just blank post card. There is no provenance, no date, no title or edition number, as indicated in the listing. Seller refused to take it back. Absolutely the worst encounter buying anything on Ebay in over 20 years. This person has figured out a way to scam people on eBay. I will be contesting this.
