This is the finest trackball I've ever used - perfect for ergonomic use and particularly useful for me as I recover from carpal tunnel surgery. The 30% angle, the comfortable fit in my hand and the Logitech Options software for customization are the features that most appeal to me. It is a high-priced item so I've been careful to buy them when I had coupons available to redeem or, in one instance, the combination of a slightly lower price and the proceeds from the sale of the pointing device it was replacing made the expense more palatable. I have three of these trackballs - one on my home desktop, one with my laptop, and one at work. Note that the MX Ergo Plus is the one with the 30% angle, and it is typically sold exclusively at Best Buy. The standard MX Ergo has only a 20% tilt.

Too big for my hand!!! Useless to me : ( My wrist doesn't rest flat on the desk with my digits position properly on the ball and buttons. The ball movement is very smooth. Higher quality than the M570. I love the magnet base that allows for tilting the mouse. I engineered my M570 to have a similar effect years ago. Very cool Logitech did this, they're obviously listening to the consumers. I plan on trading 2 M570s for this. Unfortunate, because the build quality is far superior.

Great mouse. Hard to become comfortable using it since I haven't used a roller ball before. There will be a learning curve if you're new to this design. I especially like the tilt of the device at 20°. However, it was a waste of money to buy the "plus" version of the mouse. The only difference is an angled piece of rubber which tilts the mouse to 30°. At this exaggerated angle, your hand is literally standing almost vertically on its' edge and it is very difficult to manipulate the buttons or wheel comfortably. I can't imagine anyone using the 30° tilt for more than a test. That aside, Logitech doesn't make bad devices. I have absolute trust in their products. The MX Ergo is no exception. All buttons on the mouse are programmable except the two switches behind the wheel. It those two switches were programmable, it would have substantially improved the functionality of the mouse. My old Dark Field mouse was much better functionally. That notwithstanding, the MX Ergo is still an outstanding device worth purchasing.Read full review

This is my first time using a trackball. It was easy enough to get used to coming from a mouse. I like that it has a built in rechargeable battery. Unfortunately for Linux users like myself, the configuration software is not available for us. While you can definitely still use it, you'll miss out on some of the configuration options. It also allows you to adjust the angle, so you can find the most confortable setting for your hand/wrist. It is a bit expensive, but I don't regret purchasing it.

The number one benefit of this trackball I would say is the tilt feature. It allows to exactly match the ergonomic design of your arm. You can also link this track ball to two devices. That's terrific as well. Everything else in terms of look and feel is first rate. I 've used trackballs for decades and this one is the best one yet. My only small complaint is the speed adjustment of the ball which could be a little more sensitive. This is minor but slightly annoying. It does come with a precision button that allows for precise mousing. Terrific product. Completely worth the money esp. if you work on the computer all day like I do.
