About this product

Product Information

Designed for social gaming, Hasbro Family Game Night offers players digitized versions of classic Hasbro board games. Up to four players can participate in games of "Yahtzee," "Boggle," and "Sorry!" while two players can go head-to-head in games of "Battleship" and "Connect Four." Hasbro Family Game Night also puts a new twist on the old standards, letting players try out "Connect Four Power Chips," "Boggle Portal Cubes," "Reverse Yahtzee," "Battleship Barrage," and "Sorry! Sliders." The games take place in a digital living room that can be decorated, filled with furniture, and adorned with trophies. Players who seek more creativity or control can use the "Party" mode to make a custom party game by choosing which games to play, how many players are involved, and what the time limit will be.

    Good--Not Great!

Item Received.....Board games not as easy as just breaking out the old games in the closet. More effort on Wii than just sitting at the table playing them.

  • Very good adaptation of board games to video games

I normally would rather play real board games than virtual, but everyone else in my family wanted this game, so we decided to buy it. The games, for the most part, are well designed, with attractive graphics and good controls. The game hints can interrupt the flow of the game, but those can be turned off. Mr. Potato-head is also present at every game making goofy faces and noises. My kids love him, but he can be turned off if you want. I was most pleasantly surprised by how fun sorry sliders is. I think I like it better on Wii than I would in real life. Connect 4, battleship and yahtzee all play very well, too. The are only a few things I don't like about Family game night. The first is the regular sorry game, which is kind of tedious (a lot of pointing and selecting) and takes ...

  • LOADS of FAMILY FUN! But disappointed with the maker

A friend had this game for X-box and I HAD to get it for my Wii at home! UNfortunately, we realized AFTER purchase that the Wii version doesn't have my favorite game: SCRABBLE! So I'm revising my review from Excellent to Average rating. It has games for all ages, limited to 2-4 players depending on the game. Each game has different skill levels and options. We enjoy Battleship, which has surprise multi-weapons for more fun and challenge! Yahtzee is great fun just like the home version. Boggle is good with up to 2 players, but the strange words it comes up with as options are definitely not in any English language I've learned! I just wish companies couldn't sell these as the same title game when they are different. I'm certainly glad I didn't put the ...

  • One of the best games I ever owned

I bought this game because I enjoy board games. I thought it might be cool playing an animated version of these games. Also, I wanted something easy and enjoyable for my folks to play, which this turned out to be perfect. I'm 33 yrs old and I was skeptical if it would be too kiddy like for me with the Mr. Potato Head hanging out during each game. Potato turned out to be kind of humorous, and if you don't like him, there's an option to turn him off. All the games are very enjoyable. The Sorry Sliders is fun, but the controls are a little loose. Meaning that you swing at the same pace, so you think, and one time you'll slid the right distance, then the next, way too hard. Just doesn't seem consistent. Sliders is a newer game, so if your not familiar with it like I was, I would explain it ...

  • Good family game, very enjoyable.

I bought this game for my 8-year-old daughter's birthday. We have had a really good time playing it. I like all the games featured on it, especially Battleship. It's pretty user friendly and easy for everyone to understand. The only complaint we have is the gamecard for Yahtzee is a little hard to read (it could be our older TV, though). As far as a family friendly everyone can play game, this is a perfect combination.
