I first saw the Wasabi Mobile printer on Dell's website. I thought, WOW this little thing is great. When I got it, I was just in love with the printer. I showed it to all of my family and friends who were just as wowed as myself. I then went on EBAY to see if they had anything like the Wasabi and of course they did. I found my exact Wasabi for a much more reasonable price than DELL. I of course sent the the Wasabi back to Dell and purchased two off of EBAY. I take the printer everywhere I go and I print pictures from my phone your phone, everyone's phone, as well as the printer, and my computer. I love the little pictures. My sister also purchased two off of EBAY. My EBAY experience was GRAND, no problems whatsoever. Love it ... Love it ... Love it. I am going on a cruise in January and will be sure to take it along to print right then and there.Read full review
I have owned both the Dell Wasabi and the Polaroid PoGo for 18 months, & I Like the Dell a little better. Primarily the battery life. Both are fairly bad, but the PoGo's battery is worse, and not easily replaceable. ALthough on e-bay the PoGo sells for about the same as a Dell Wasabi Battery! ($35). They are both similar design, but Dell-sturdy plastic and Polaroid is aluminum - appearing metal. I've dropped both. No big problems, but I feel safer with the Dell. The battery life on each is fair. 8-10 prints on Dell vs. 7-8 on the PoGo. You can buy new batteries on the Dell, but not the PoGo. I am on my second battery on the Dell now. The Pogo's battery wouldn't hold a charge after 6 months of daily use. The print quality of the Dell is the same...possibly slightly better, but hard to tell, as the biggest difference in quality is made by cleaning printer (printing a "dummy" blue card), and using a fresh batch of "zink" paper (the crystals on the paper carries an expiration date.) Overall, I'm happy with this printer. Both printers use the exact same paper and printing process. Yes, the Dell will work w/ polaroid zinc paper, but you'll get a "frownie face" on the printer the whole time you are printing.:{ Polariod PoGo printer accepts the dell paper just fine. "Zink" (zero ink) technology is not a good as ink, but WAY more convenient, snd faster than ink. Love the sticky back on the paper. Bluetooth setup is fairly easy on both printers. No, it doesn't work on the iPhone 3/4 without jailbreaking. (Apple doesn't put the technology the specific bluetooth technology, possibly due to potential song sharing?). I prefer using a higher quality camera, then printing directly from a "pictbridge"camera using USB cable. There are no consumer cameras w/ bluetooth, except a 2005 Kodak. You cannot print from a computer with a standard usb cable! To print from PC, you must use bluetooth. Pro's: Very portable, battery power is limited, but very convenient! Reasonably fast prints w/ sticky back. Con's: No PC printing without bluetooth. Zink print quality (both Dell and PoGo) is for scrapbok, reference, etc. I actually use it for documenting wounds in a medical record, but I wish the quality was a little better. If you want a fun thing for a tween, a printer for your cell phone camera, or something for a reunion/name badges, this works well.Read full review
This printer may not use toner, but the Zinc paper required for it can be a bit pricey. It prints on 2"X3" sticky back paper. It may not have the best quality, but for my teenager and her phone pics and digital camera shots, it's a good fit. It's a great little printer! The bluetooth feature makes it a breeze to print right from a cell phone.
I love its convience, and size and not hard to set up I did it anyone can, it very portable and easy to carry the next item i will get is the hard case to protect it.. very satisfied with the printer and no ink cartridges to but that is great feature!!
Small photo printer you can take along everywhere in order to get direct paper copy of any picture. If you are a group of people or friends, it is more easy to have a picture on paper circulating than an handy. Extremly easy to handle and also very easy/simple connection through bluetooth.
