Typical of Sherrilyn Kenyon; fast and enjoyable. The most frustrating is the timeline. This book repeats some moments from previous stories; Vane, Wren, Fury and sad memories; Cherise (Nick's Mom) is still alive. There is a quick reference to Nick's story still to come. And the always hanging story (Stone). But contrary to other reviews, I didn't find this book a disappointment at all. And we've all been waiting, hopefully, for Aimee and Fang...
Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of the best and most talented authors I have ever had the pleasure of discovering! This book is just one of her many excellent books in the dark hunter and were hunter series! This is an excellent buy and I recommend it to anyone with good taste in reading material!
Welcome to Sherrilyn Kenyon's world of the Dark-Hunters. "Bad Moon Rising" is about Fang and Aimee. Fang is a Were-Wolve and Aimee is Were-Bear. Supposedly you can't mix the species but when you do there will be hell to pay, literally! I think this is the 18th book in the series. ("No Mercy" is next, then you have to wait for more! I hate waiting!) Sherriyn's books are all about good versus evil, love conquers all and acceptance of things that are different. Her characters are all beautiful or handsome, big, brave and strong. Most of them are willing to give their lives (some their undead lives) to save humanity. I bet you can't read just one!
I have been collecting Sherrilyn Kenyon books for 2 years now. LOVE, love, love her Dark Hunter Series! Fang and his brothers have always been some of my favorite characters and as usual Sherrilyn doesn't let me down. Very good book.
Sherilyn Kenyon does it again with a another grate read! This story is about Fang the brother to, vane and Fury who are both wolfs as well. To me when I as read it kind of filled the blanks as to how fang had felt about things that had to him, happened in Night Play also by Sherilyn Kenyon you should read it first. then Bad moon rising will make more cents to you the reader. I like all the wolfs she writes about so both are worth reading thanks=)
I look forward to each new book of Kenyon's Dark Hunter series and I like this book but it's more Were than Dark. I thought Fang was too whiny and petulant. Certainly not like the ancient warriors in her other novels in the series who shouted vengeance and wore Artemis' brand. It was still a good story even though it could have done without Fang's drama. I'm still a loyal fan.
Aimee and Fang's story was one I have waited for and it was worth the wait. In other Dark-Hunter novels you read of the turmoil the hero and heroine go through but somehow these two have a different struggle. Theirs is awkward and just...wrong, but oh so right. Sherrilyn Kenyon again manages to capture the pull of emotion that many attempt to put on paper but few succeed.
Sherrilyn Kenyon is great, my sister turned me on to her books, I never read one of her stories, but once I read Night Pleasures, I had to get all the books after that and I read them all in 2 weeks (the group was about 15 books). Thank god my sister is an avid fan and had all of them, now I bought all of them and reread them at my leisure. You will not be disappointed with any of her books.
I like everything about the book! I have just began reading Sherrilyn Kenyon books. Bad Moon Rising was my 2nd one to read, the first was Acheron. I wanted to read Bad Moon because it was about Were-Hunters that happen to be wolves, my favorite animal. It did not disappoint. I think anyone who reads it will be pleased with the story and it's continuing mythology.
If you haven't read the Dark Hunter series, do it NOW. This book is the catalyst to the Dogs of War storyline. Fang and Amy go through hell, literally, and we lose some old friends, make new ones, and learn a few things we didn't know. Fabulous book!
