Before this amp, i had a cheap mono profile amp hooked up to my Honda Civic 04. But I was never happy with it so I decieded to upgrade to a Alpine Monoblock. All I can say is WOW!!!! What a difference. This amp produces loud, clean, punchy bass. From now on I plan on buying only alpines. Got to save up for the New PDX models but I'm sure those rock too. Thanks

i bought this amp for one dual voice coil 2ohm alpine sub 12" type r and both the products are great. the amp looks great and definetly puts out plenty of power. it runs at 400rms on the sub i have and when my car is in the garage it shakes my 3story house and the gains only turned up half way. this amp was definetly a great buy, alpine has good stuff.
I bought this as a parts unit in the hopes of having it fixed like other Alpines I have owned and had repaired by an amp guy. This one should be no different. The price of 15 dollars was reasonable for a fixer. With all thre other Alpines I have fixed they all exceeded expectations, plus this is not an m-500, there is more power value, plus this model is known for being more hardy than the m-1000. This is class D tech, so it is very efficient, and stable for a 2 ohm load, but enough power for a 4 ohm load. Remember , Alpine amps shopuld never have the gain turned all the way up. Hope this helped.
