This is a great router for $50-60. It has external antenna for good coverage and good support for firmware update. Its Broadcomm chipset has the best support from open source community. With Aimesh capability it's really useful for builting low cost mesh network. The latest firmware is crammed with features I heard there are connection issues if it stay on to too long. So it has a scheduled restart feature.

I am Very pleased with my new Asus router. It was a bit hard for me to 'install' it, but that is on me. I am not very good at setting up electronic products... But once I got into it, it started to make more sense, and the rest of the install went quickly. I now have a roommate who has a variety of 'wireless' products', and the quality of our reception has greatly improved. Thank you ASUS for another terrific product!

i got this as a newegg refurb for $100, which makes this router a very good deal. dual-band, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios provide the range or the speed you need. the 1.4 GHz CPU has the grunt for 1 Gbit router duty. hold off on the mu-mimo routers until broadcom can get their controllers to work better and go for this little beastie.

I had a previous bad experience with a Linksys refurbished router so was a bit apprehensive, however this worked straight out of the box and was up and running in minutes. It's been a coupe of weeks and no problems at all. The gui is easy to manage and use, the instructions are concise and I can recommend this product.

Bought a return from Newegg and I'm very happy with it. I can get 866 MHz connections on my new ac cards. Always reliable connections. Asus setup is easy to maneuver.

T-mobile AC-1900 is a good router. If you want to keep it updated with current Asus or Merlin Asuswrt software, you need to go through sophisticated process of converting your T-mobile AC-1900 into RT AC-68U. Even after successful conversion and update to latest Asus firmware with AIMesh capabilities, this router was not recognised as a mesh node by my other original Asus AC-1900 one. Extensive research on the issue revealed that Asus intentionally blocked this capability in T-mobile AC-1900 routers. If you are ready to go through the conversion process, (which is doable is you have average computer knowledge) and are going to use this as a standalone router, this is a good option. It wouldn't work as a part of your AIMesh network.

Can't believe the difference the 1900 has made. It's quick hardly any,if any wait time for buffering on my smart tv,tablets and cell phones. It's only been hooked up for two weeks but the difference it has made has been truly remarkable.

The product is not working properly. The 5G signal lamp does not light up, and the 2.4ghz signal is not detected by the smartphone. It even repeats the reset every few minutes. Factory reset is also useless It's really ridiculous to sell a product like this.
