    compact easy to use bottle

    basically - it does what it says on the label... ready mixed so no messing about trying to judge the quantity of water / glue / washing up liquid. the little adaptor nosel is fantastic as it enables you to get mm. away from the ballast & drop droplets into it...not flood it out. keeping everything in place. and dries in hours & completely set in a few more.

    Deluxe Materials' Ballast Bond

    Have tried using this product for ballasting N Gauge track - using fine-sieved san - and it holds together really well, even at that scale. There is a slight colourisation of the ballast when the product is dry, but it is very minimal and wouldn't be noticeable if you didn't see the ballast beforehand. The solution applies to the ballast really easily using the very fine nozzle provided (which is easily rinsed clean between uses). Recommended for ease of use and effectiveness at bonding fine ballast.

    Excellent Product.

    I had attempted to ballast my track using the tried and trusted PVA and water mix but it was a disaster... didn't stick the ballast down after two atttempts !!. Saw this reviewed in an issue of "Model Rail" magazine, so decided to give it a try. Worked first time !! no staining of the ballast or seepage onto other parts of the layout. Excellent product.

    Poor value.

    It needed to be very liberally applied if all the grains were to stick (as checked by hoover later) and as a result the bottle did not last long (not enough for a medium average layout.) Esp. with the high postal cost, it is not good value for money. I will try a solution of my own before buying any more.
