Great price & super features
I love that the 5255 can print on reverse side (saves a lot of paper). However, if I set paper on the glass to copy, the lid (which is heavier than our previous printer) does not stay up on its own. I have to hold it while I arrange paper on the glass (a bit awkward). I may never need to use the fax feature, but it's a handy one to have available. Wouldn't print duplex without jamming
I was excited to get this printer. I wanted a printer I could set up to print from my tablet and that would print duplex, as my current printer does neither. I was surprised that the HP5255 was a bit of a hassle to set up, but when that was finally accomplished, I proceeded to send a 2-sided page from another room. When I went back to check, it jammed in the duplexer. I checked that the paper was loaded correctly and that the duplexer lid was snapped in properly, then tried again at least a dozen times...same thing kept happening. I gave up, boxed it back up to return and reinstalled my trusty existing printer. It may not print duplex or remotely, but it is reliable, so I expect I will use it till it breaks, then shop for its replacement in person. I can't recommend the HP5255 due to its inability to successfully print duplex as promised.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great printer for home use
I've only used the printer a few times and it has worked well. I only need it for home/personal use. Set up was easier than I had anticipated. I used a USB cable and my computer recognized it immediately and directed me how to set up. From plug in to print was about 15 minutes. Print speed isn't ultra fast but far from slow. I'd Rather Switch Than Fight!
After using Canon printers for the last 10-12 years and having a perfectly good MG6620 Pixma printer fail due to a software error after only two years, I was FED UP with Canon. I decided to try another brand, and this printer prints almost as well as the Canon printer (not quite), but the setup was easy, I connected to my wifi the first try, and everything is working well. A great printer for the money!
I really, really like this printer. I had an HP Photosmart for 6 years which I thought was going to need a new print head and I found this printer that was less expensive than buying a printhead for my Photosmart. I love that it prints front and back just like my Photosmart, only it actually uses a little smaller footprint than my older printer. So far the ink is lasting a good while and I use the printer nearly every day. It holds an ample amount of paper and runs quite smoothly. Printer is easy to set up with a smart app. Comes with starter ink and allows you to set up with HP INK for monthly replacements. Great quality and fast print.
