    Forget Boss and PFE tape, LS-X is far better

    As a jointing compound Fernox LS-X is unbeatable. Used LS-X on all my compression joints and radiator threads works a treat. Just squeeze on from the tube it sticks where it is put and avoids any sort of mess. All joints 100% sealed. Any excess is easily wiped of with a tissue for a clean finish. I would not recommend for sealing leaks, as it advises in the leaflet that is in the box, Araldite multi-purpose putty is better for that.

    Wonderful product

    I fitted a water pressure reducing valve and there was a slight drip from one of the connections. I remade the joint with PTFE tape but it still dripped. I tried PTFE paste, but that did not work. Bought the Fernox LS-S and it stopped dripping.

    Good product but not perfect.

    I bought this to seal a leaking PVC waste pipe and it was very effective and easy to use. Only downside was that some of the contents had cured when I went to use it again a few months later, so I could only apply by cutting open the tube below the section that had 'solidified'. Effectively I got two applications from the tube, the rest was wasted.

    Sealer & Jointing Compound LS-X

    Although designed mainly for plumbing fittings, It is really good for airlines and small pneumatic fittings and can also be used as a slow setting "locktite" on nuts and bolts, and some bearings, the sort of thing that's always useful on the shelf.
