Functional utility tool
I bought this to punch thick 50 weight chipboard for book covers. It is not an office type of hole punch - you have to give it a little twist to clear the hole to punch all the way through because it presses the material against a flat anvil piece - more like it pokes it way through instead of punching all the way through. It can be used to make indentations in the chipboard also. It is a utilitarian tool with a good weight. I expect it will last a long time. It does take a little hand strength to use. I chose this because there is a choice of punch sizes and the if the punch tube wears out, it can be replaced.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works like a charm
I had the same hole punch in my horse trailer for over 12 years. When it finally got worn out, I was worried I'd never find one as good as that one. (I'd been through several "cheapo" ones....you get what you pay for...duh.) This is just as good as my old one was! I'm absolutely delighted with it!!! So far it is doing a great job on thick belt leather. If I make a leather bag l usually punch several hundred holes using a rotary punch and the Osborne is much better quality for the price than many other punches I’ve bought recently .
