    Walked in only knowing Carl Sagon was connected to the project

    (Slight spoiler alert) Walked away with my mind blown. I had no idea this movie was so existential! The characters are the embodiment of humanity, and what we would be dealing with if we contacted by a society of higher intelligence. Our feelings of being alone and needing God and heaven to exist are all very important to this story, and it's just the tip of the iceberg. I would have ended this movie exactly as it is done, humanity not knowing what to make of the main characters experience.
