The purpose of the game is to save some young women abducted by a group of men coming from Joe and Mac's rival caves. The two protagonists have to fight over the challenging levels against numerous enemies like human, animal and plant, using weapons like boomerang, bones, fire, electricity, stone wheels and clubs.

    A Classic for the SNES

    This is a great game from my childhood that allows 1-2 players to go on a sidescrolling quest as cavemen (the eponymous Joe & Mac) to save cavewomen from the dangers of dinosaurs and ill-disposed cavemen. It allows for level replayability (like Super Mario World) though there is not a way to save. It is a wild ride for sure.

    Great Classic Game.

    Great to play this simple prehistoric side scroller again! I love travelling through all the different levels scenery and dinos. That might just be the nostalgia speaking but I’ll always love this game!
