Long time musical collaborators Tom Verlaine, who was the singer-guitarist in art-rock 1970s band Television, and session musician Jimmy Rip have composed live soundtracks to accompany seven silent avant-garde short films from the 1920s on this release. The movies include L'ÉTOILE DE MER and EMAK-BAKIA by Man Ray, RHYTHMUS 21 by Hans Richter, and BALLET MÉCANIQUE by Fernand Léger.
