MORE GAIN THAN MY OLD RADIO SHACK VU-190XR
Wow! This antenna works great. Putting it together is a chore, but it's well worth it. It replaces a Radio Shack VU-190XR that I've been using for 20 years. I added a Winegard LNA200 to the VU-190XR a couple years ago. The old combination worked well, but the HD8200U & the same LNA200 works even better. I get more gain on all 3 TV bands, and FM reception is better too.

This antenna was not what I expected
I live on a hill high above most of my stations but I could not receive 1 station on my old antenna because their signal is weak. All stations in my area are within 12 miles of my house but I still could not get this channel at 10 miles away. I bought this antenna and I also purchased an amplifier from the same brand from a box store to arm my tv with the best of the best antenna and amp to get anything within 60 miles, but I only received the channels that I got on my old antenna and did not get the channel I was looking for. I put my older smaller antenna back up and I am selling this one at pennies to the dollar.I live on a hill high above most of my stations but I could not receive 1 station on my old antenna because their signal is weak. Easy to mount to mast. Installed by myself on a tilt-down tower.
Great antenna to pull in channels that are relatively close ( 30 miles) with excellent reception. To pull in channels farther away, really need to install a signal amplifier to improve the capabilities of the antenna. The antenna is real easy to put together with minimal effort and installs easily. Just follow the step by step directions!

Total waste of money, they asked so I responded, this is my 1st review. I normally don't complain. Our $24.00 antenna is hooked up to 3 TVs gets exactly the same amount of channels as this hooked to 1.
