The smell and appearance was consistent with my other sample container of night balm from La Mer themselves. The item itself is so luxe and smooth, very protecting of the skin and thick. The smell is nice and not overbearing, slowly fades away. It did not burn my eyes nor cause any breakouts. I use this after my serums. I think this is much easier than spending on a whole jar! Great seller! Thanks!
