    Great Characters But Bad Plot

    Just underwhelming movie. There are no scary parts at all. The secrets that Alice is keeping (as the film screams about all over the cover.) Are both predictable and barely secrets. Not even a little scary, barely will hold your interest. You just keep waiting for it to get better and more exciting. But it's the same monotonous, uninterested tone throughout. Boring film that can for sure be missed.

    A small scale classic

    lake mungo is small scale slow burn meditative semi-ghost story, set in a small Victorian town, shot on low budget. The death of a character provides eerie detail on the town's inhabitants and way of life, casting doubt on the nature of the death and the reasons why the character died. This is almost art cinema philosophical angle to this production, with references to what we think we know and see. A little reminiscent of the Twin Peaks vibe, without the grotesquery. Not a whizz-bang action-fest, but beautifully rendered and leaves you thinking. .

    This film was a waste of money. It is boring, which is saying something for a "horror" movie. It is the only horror movie I've ever seen that came close to putting me to sleep. It left me yawning and wondering why they even made the movie.
